Win Two VIP Tickets for "An Evening with Alan Shearer with Tyne Theatre & Opera House's Prize Draw for Charity

The Tyne Theatre & Opera House has opened an exciting charity draw – with the prize of x2 An Evening with Alan Shearer VIP tickets. As part of the Superstar Gold Package ticket band, this prize is worth over £300 and includes a pre-show professional photo with Alan Shearer.
The Footballing legend comes to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Thursday 23rd November for an exclusive live on stage ‘Evening with’ event. With the venue being near St James Park, this is an evening not to miss for Newcastle United fans. He needs no introduction in Newcastle, or globally – Alan Shearer is a patriot of British football and is one of the most passionate and esteemed players of all time.
The Tyne Theatre & Opera House has launched this charity draw in aid of refurbishing their stage machinery. As one of the only theatres in the UK with working Victorian stage machinery, the National Lottery Heritage Fund granted funding for a year-long programme titled ‘The Drury Lane of the North’. This programme included re-installing previously lost stage machinery, which has been more costly than anticipated.
All funds from the campaign will go towards materials, such as rope, ironwork and timber for the ongoing restoration of the unique stage machinery. With entries only costing £3 each, the lucky winners will have a chance of a lifetime whilst helping an iconic Grade I listed local venue. There are extremely limited tickets that are still available for the show, so the stakes are even higher for excited entrants!
The exclusive show will see a two-part live and unscripted interview with Alan Shearer, reminiscing about those glorious football memories old and new. A fantastic opportunity to get a real-life insight to one of the best players to ever light up the football world, this is a once in a lifetime event.
Theatre Director Jo Johnson commented: “We are thrilled to be offering two lucky people the chance to meet Alan Shearer for a very reduced price as part of our prize draw. As a charity, we rely on funding and every pound makes a difference. We’re honoured to host Alan Shearer, especially as we are situated so close to St James Park – it’s a real hometown show, with the money raised from our charity draw going towards our wonderful cause.”
Entering the prize draw costs £3 per entry, with a maximum of three entries per person. The draw closes at 9:30am on Monday 31st August, with the winner being randomly selected the week commencing Monday 4th September.
