Vermont Wedding Coordinator Steps into the Spotlight

Newcastle's The Vermont Hotel returned triumphant from this year's North of England Wedding Awards having scooped the title for a highly-sought after category. Tanya Hedley, Head of Weddings at The Vermont Hotel was named Wedding Coordinator of the Year 2015 following a public vote shortlist process which was then put before a judging panel of wedding professionals. The Awards in association with The Wedding Guide UK recognise those businesses which go the extra mile for their customers, providing outstanding service and inspiring their customers to want to actively and positively promote them. The glittering ceremony was held at York Racecourse in September and saw the region's venues, photographers, bridal boutiques and florists gather to celebrate the evening. Tanya, who has worked at The Vermont Hotel since spring 2013, said: "I'm delighted to have picked up this award - it's a huge personal achievement but it wouldn't have been possible without my fantastic team. "At The Vermont Hotel we have a “concept to completion” approach to weddings. Your dedicated coordinator is with you from the first visit to the first dance, and will develop a close working relationship with you, getting to know your most detailed instructions. “I think people underestimate the professionalism that is required when coordinating a wedding. The planning that goes into it isn’t all butterflies and sparkles - it’s a big undertaking and often a huge financial investment for the couple. That responsibility deserves to be treated with the utmost skill and care, and the client must have trust and confidence in the person sat opposite them.”
