Thistle Hotel Raises Big Smiles

Its just amazing what kids CAN do.  Thistle Newcastle, The County Hotel are looking for active 6 to 12 year olds ready to face the exciting challenge of a young lifetime.  Its all GO GO GO with a FREE kids triathlon.

NEWCASTLE - Saturday 10th August, Benfield Sports Centre, Benfield Road, Newcastle.  11am until 4pm

GET INVOLVED…

Give your kids the chance to win a 'money can't buy' prize, 10 kids and their families from the Newcastle Kids Triathlon will win an all-expenses paid overnight trip to London, with a place on the final leg of our relay, which includes running across the finish line at the World Triathlon Championships in Hyde Park!

ITS FREE!

Newcastle Triathlon Event…What you need to know:

All kids taking part in the event should be aged 6 to 12 years old and confident to swim, bike and run alone (although we have trained officials on hand should they be needed)

Absolute Confidence:

Thistle Newcastle, The County Hotel want your child to feel 100% confident from the start, so everyone participating will be grouped into ages, then set off at intervals.  Its good to know there are also race marshals on hand around the course and at transition stations to help kids get ready for the next part of the event

Cheer them on:

Your child will face their challenge on their own, so once they have started, you as a parent can enjoy standing back and cheering them on

2 hour triathlon event:

Once registered you will be given full details of your event including directions and timings - the actual triathlon event will run for two hours (to allow all the kids to take part) so there will be plenty of time for you and your family to enjoy the other free activities on offer

FREE ACTIVITIES!

There will be FREE activities for you and your children to enjoy after the triathlon, from face painting to bouncy castles, balloon modeling, games, stalls and children's entertainers

Inspiring fundraising, inspiring prizes

In the run up to the event, Thistle Newcastle, The County Hotel recommend setting up a justgiving.com page for your child, linked to our Lite@Nite page.  Its good to know that the 5 top fundraisers from each event will win a place to cross the finish line at Hyde Parks World Triathlon Championships.  5 more lucky winners and their families will be randomly selected from each event.
