Newcastle chosen as first city to debut brand-new pop-up fairground game as students get ready to “Push the Button”
Newcastle students are being invited to push the button as Fayre Play brings a brand-new pop-up game to the city for its debut.
Fayre Play, the competitive fairground games experience, has chosen its Newcastle venue as the first location to trial its latest game concept, with students set to get a taste of the new challenge during Freshers season, as part of their “Take 5” freshers campaign.
The new pop-up game will be at Northumbria University on Monday 21 September, followed by Newcastle University on Wednesday 23 September, as the Fayre Play team give students the chance to get their hands on their iconic plushie ducks.
Students visiting Fayre Play are encouraged to “Take 5” away from studying, with 50p gameplay, £5 margaritas (featuring both classic and signature variations such as Raspberry Top), alongside 15% off online student add-ons.
Craig Neilson, Co-Founder of Fayre Play, said:
“Newcastle has been a fantastic addition to the Fayre Play family, so it felt like the perfect place to debut something completely new.
We know students are always looking for something different to do with their friends, particularly during Freshers, and we wanted to give them something they can’t experience anywhere else.
We’re looking forward to getting out onto campus, meeting the students and, most importantly, seeing who can grab themselves a duck by pushing the button!”
Fayre Play Newcastle is located at The Gate, in the heart of the city centre, and offers a mix of nostalgic fairground games, food and drinks in a competitive socialising experience.
