The Snowman returns for Christmas at Sage Gateshead

The festive season is now just around the corner – and Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas at Sage Gateshead without this firm family favourite.

Taking place from Thursday 22 December to Saturday 24 December, the ever-popular live music and film event, The Snowman, makes a welcome return to Sage One.

An annual tradition at the music venue, Sage Gateshead has delighted sell-out audiences of all ages with screenings of The Snowman accompanied by live music since the building opened to the public in December 2004.

Bring all the family along to watch the classic animated film, adapted from Raymond Briggs’ timeless picture book, on the big screen accompanied live by Royal Northern Sinfonia playing Howard Blake’s magical score.

This year, audiences will also get the chance to join in with an interactive seasonal singalong, featuring festive hits from Frozen alongside popular Christmas classics. Special Snowman-themed family lunches are available to pre-book at Ticket Office, and Sage Gateshead’s shop is already well-stocked with a range of Snowman-related gifts.

As well as the main concerts, there will also be a relaxed matinee on Thursday 22 December, suited to families and those with autism or disabilities. Listeners are free to move around and make noise during this performance and hall doors will be left open for people to come and go as they wish.

To book tickets please call 0191 443 4661 or book online at sagegateshead.com. Tickets are priced from £17.20 - £21.50 with family tickets available.
