The Northern Wedding Show 2020

Huge bridal extravaganza to transform Arena into one-stop wedding shop.

A bridal extravaganza will fly the flag for diversity in the region’s first inclusive catwalk.

The huge Northern Wedding Show will take over Utilita Arena in Newcastle for two days this Winter and will be championing inclusivity in the wedding industry, with influencers, real brides-to-be and plus size models, as well as a transgender model, all taking to the catwalk wearing major bridal brands.

It promises to be one of many highlights of the spectacular, which takes place from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26, 2020.

Set to be one of the biggest events of its kind at the arena, it’s being staged by North East-based Belle Events and Exhibitions.

From dream honeymoons and luxury wedding venues to make your big day sparkle, to finding the dream dress and the perfect entertainment for your guests, it’s set to be a one-stop shop for couples planning to tie the knot, with more than 100 exhibitors.

You’ll also be able to pick up some top tips in specialist Q&A’s and masterclasses from industry leaders in between visits to the Prosecco Bar located in the Tipi Village.

Some of the biggest names in the business will be in attendance, including world famous bridal couturier, star of Channel 4’s The Posh Frock Shop, and multi-award winner Ian Stuart.

The celebrated designer will be sharing his insider knowledge with brides on all of the four catwalk shows. Plus, visitors will also be able to see what he has in store for 2020 with his show-stopping bridal and mother-of-the bride designs, which will be shown on the catwalk as well as on his stand. One lucky bride will even get the chance to win an Ian Stuart gown.

As if a designer gown wasn’t enough, one bride or groom will also win a £2,000 spending spree at the event which they can spend as they please.

Other big names to look out for include House of Mooshki, who’ll be showcasing some of the vintage styles which helped make their name, as well as the chic tailoring of their mother-of-the-bride collection.

Sister brand Grace Philips will also be wowing visitors on their stand and on the catwalks. With House of Mooshki, you can expect unique styles, from dresses with a four-metre long cape to a range of colours for brides who want to make a statement.

Karen Bell, director from Belle Events and Exhibitions, said: “This is an arena wedding show that offers a glittering array of specialist luxury suppliers. There will be over 120 of the North’s finest exhibitors, a tipi festival village, incredible bridal goodie bags, four inclusive designer bridal catwalks featuring some of the world’s most iconic design houses, incredible entertainment, and the option to go VIP and be totally pampered.

“Last, but not least, it’s absolutely essential that you join us for 10 minutes with couturier Ian Stuart as he hits the catwalk to answer your bridal style queries.”

The Northern Wedding Show is at Utilita Arena, Newcastle, on January 25 & 26, 2020.

Tickets include a goody bag worth £20 for general admission, or worth £30 for VIP which includes a free Nails INC gel polish.
