Jungli Searches for the City's Best Hospitality Talent
Having already created over 20 jobs at opening, Jungli is recruiting for a further 9 roles, and is looking for people who are excited about its vision of bringing something new and unexpected to the city’s Indian restaurant scene.
Jungli is set in the newly developed Pilgrim Street district hotspot and has taken a fresh, playful approach to Indian-inspired food. Offering a day to night café, bar and dining experience, the venue combines café culture, casual dining, cocktails, music and entertainment.
The roles currently available include a restaurant manager, assistant restaurant manager, bartender, x2 servers, x2 expos and x2 grill chefs. People can express their interest in the job roles by emailing [email protected] with a copy of their CV.
Co-founder and operations director Ash Dabral said: “We’ve had brilliant feedback on everything from the food, décor and vibe, with Newcastle embracing our mixed-up approach. As we welcome more diners and look to introduce our events programme, live music and a retail pop-up, we’re growing our team with roles available for all career levels from students to people established in hospitality.
“This is just the beginning for Jungli. We’re pushing the boundaries by innovating and challenging the norm for the category, and it’s something really exciting to be part of!”
Some of the people behind Jungli include the award-winning team from Jesmond favourite Chakh Dhoom, which was named Newcastle Restaurant of the Year at the Northern England Curry Awards earlier this month.
