The Northern Design Awards 2015 is heading to Newcastle

The Northern Designs Awards, now in its 13th year, is heading to Newcastle. The awards recognise outstanding work from designers, architects, furniture makers, builders and landscapers in both residential and commercial categories. Entries are accepted from north of Birmingham to and including Scotland, a vast area and with numerous entries for the judges to work through. Head judge, Newcastle-based internationally renowned interior designer George Bond, is bringing this exciting, celeb packed judging panel to the region. The judging for the Northern Design Awards has historically been overseen by a respected panel of judges, all of whom are experts in their fields. The panel features TV presenter Linda Barker, George Clarke of BBC’s ‘Restoration Man’ and ‘Amazing Spaces’, Wayne Hemingway, Nick Munro and Jan Constantine. They will be joined on the judging panel by HRH Princess Katarina Director of Events, Shelley Bond, commented: “The Northern Design Awards are now a firmly established part of the North’s design calendar, celebrating the very best of the region’s burgeoning design scene. Previous winners have capitalised upon their success in our awards to take their businesses to the next level and we’re proud to champion the very best in the business. “As we want to truly represent the North of England, it’s important to us to find architecturally interesting venues in different towns and cities. After hosting recent awards in Chester, Buxton and Manchester, we’ve taken the decision to bring the Northern Design Awards to Liverpool, a city with a rich architectural and design heritage, this year, with the judging taking place in another beautiful city, Newcastle"
