The Gate wins Platinum!

Customers at The Gate can rest assured with top-class facilities. The city centre leisure complex has been graded Platinum Standard for its toilet facilities following the Loo of The Year award inspections.

The recently refurbished toilets, which opened earlier this year, have received Platinum grading, the highest grading possible, after being nominated for Loo of The Year. This is the 30th Anniversary of the awards which has 61 separate award categories and received 1,749 nominations from across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

Each entry is fully assessed against a rigorous judging criterion which includes both male and female facilities as well as any separate baby changing and accessible toilet facilities.

As a Platinum graded entry, The Gate has been shortlisted for a National Loo of The Year Award. The awards ceremony takes place on Friday 8th December where winners will be announced.

Inge Johnson Mitchell, Centre Manager said ‘It has been wonderful for The Gate to be nominated for these awards and to have been graded Platinum Standard. It is such a high achievement and only possible thanks to the dedicated team we have onsite. We understand the customer's experience with us includes all aspects of their visit, including the standard of toilets available. We want to make sure their visit with us is as comfortable as possible’.

Well done to all at The Gate, in the running for National Loo of the Year!
