Summer Soul Sessions with Laid Blak live at Turtle Bay Newcastle

Urban Reggae artists Laid Blak are coming to Newcastle for a very special live performance at Turtle Bay on Friday 22nd June from 10pm.  The event includes free entry and also two for one cocktails from 10pm till close.

Turtle Bay is all about rum, reggae and jerk, and for one night only, the reggae beats will be brought live to Turtle Bay Newcastle courtesy of Laid Blak – one of the UK’s most established and successful ‘streetsoul’ reggae bands.

Bristol-based, ‘urban heavyweights’ Laid Blak are will be playing their high-octane hits, such as ‘It’s a Pity’ and ‘Red’ as well as songs from their new album About Time (available through sugarshackrecords.co.uk). Their infectious energy is famous for getting everyone on their feet, so Newcastle revellers can expect a live party experience like no other, all in the fabulous setting of Turtle Bay’s Caribbean-inspired restaurant.

A Turtle Bay favourite, Laid Blak have played festivals across the world including Glastonbury and Boomtown, and they have toured with and supported Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Damian and Julian Marley, Toots and Maytals, Easy All Stars and more.

Guests can enjoy dinner in the restaurant and then dance the night away to the sounds of Laid Blak whilst enjoying Turtle Bay’s 40 strong collections of rum via their amazing Happy Hour. The restaurant’s happy hour runs from 12-7pm and then kicks off again at 10pm meaning that cocktails are 241 during the gig!

Turtle Bay has also just launched cocktail tables and so guests can reserve a table just for drinking during the performance… perfect for those who prefer their reggae from the comfort of a booth!

The restaurant will be open as usual with the performance free to diners, drinkers and music fans alike.

One restaurant, one night, one love.
