Hot on the heels of scoring the number 2 grossing film in the country with the critically lauded ‘Soulboys Of The Western World’ Spandau Ballet announce their live return, a twelve-date arena tour for March 2015. Returning to touring for the first time since their 2009 Reformation tour which saw the band finally reunited, they are once again the hottest band in the UK. Last week, the band premiered ‘Soulboys Of The Western World’ to a sold out Royal Albert Hall and reunited on stage in the UK for the first time since 2010 performing some of their anthems, which were a soundtrack to a generation. This unique event was beamed by satellite to 100’s of cinemas across the UK and Eire as the band returned to the Royal Albert Hall for the first time since the week True was released in April 1983. Critics from the UK’s broadsheets to USA’s Rolling Stone were united in their acclaim. Today also sees the release of ‘The Story, The Very Best of Spandau Ballet’ featuring all of the greatest hits plus three new songs produced by legendary record producer Trevor Horn including the radio smash ‘This Is The Love’ and the forthcoming single ‘Steal’. Tomorrow night (Tuesday the 14th) the band has a very special one-hour ITV 1 special entitled ‘Spandau Ballet True Gold’. Hosted by Christine Bleakley the show sees the band talk very candidly about their career and perform some of their greatest hits. Spandau Ballet are one of Britain’s great iconic bands having sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. It wasn’t long before they became fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene and established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s. After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. SOUL BOYS OF THE WESTERN WORLD marks the first time their story has been documented on film.
