Smart Works North East and Fenwick Launch Charity Pop-Up at Eldon Square
Smart Works North East, the Newcastle-based charity that empowers unemployed women with coaching and clothing, is teaming up with Fenwick at Eldon Square to launch a three-day pop-up shop.
Running from Thursday 22nd January – Saturday 24th January, the pop-up will give visitors to Eldon Square the opportunity to browse a wide range of fashion from a host of fantastic brands, with up to 70% off RRP. The pop-up will feature both menswear and womenswear, with sizes ranging from 4-24, offering something for everyone.
All proceeds from the pop-up will go directly to Smart Works North East, supporting the charity’s mission to help 1,000 women into employment this year by providing interview clothing and personalised coaching to build confidence and unlock potential.
Located next to the Fenwick main entrance inside Eldon Square, the shop will be easily accessible for city-centre shoppers, further cementing Eldon Square’s role as a thriving community hub in the heart of the city.
The pop-up will run from 9am-8pm on Thursday 22nd January, and from 9am-7pm on 23rd & 24th January.

It’s an exciting time for our charity, this year we hope to support even more women across the North East with our free service providing clothing, and 1:1 confidence coaching to unemployed women. Almost 70% secure a job within a month of their Smart Works appointment and the income from our fashion sales go directly back into our service. It a brilliant way to shop sustainably and support women across our region!”
