Shark Club Newcastle Nets Toon Favourite for ‘A Night with Peter Beardsley’
Shark Club Newcastle has announced it will be hosting an evening with footballing legend Peter Beardsley.
Taking place on Thursday 24th September, 7pm-10.30pm, ‘A Night with Peter Beardsley’ will see the former England international and Newcastle United player interviewed live. He’ll share stories from his extraordinary career, including unforgettable moments on and off the pitch, along with behind-the-scenes anecdotes. There will also be a Q&A session, where members of the audience can put their own questions to him.
Limited to 150 guests, the event will be ticket only, with tickets costing between £20 and £40. All tickets include a light buffet, a £25 ticket includes a bottle of beer and for £40 you can also get a photo with Peter. Route 1 Memorabilia will be at the event with a football memorabilia stand. The event is sponsored by Guinness, with the brand giving away scratch cards on the evening with a chance to win prizes.
Peter Beardsley enjoyed an illustrious career at the highest level, establishing himself as one of the most gifted and creative forwards of a generation. After making his name with Newcastle United, he earned his England debut in January 1986 and went on to win 59 caps. He was part of England’s 1986 World Cup squad, starting alongside Gary Lineker in the famous quarter-final against Argentina, a match remembered for Maradona’s ‘Hand of God’. He went on to enjoy a hugely successful spell at Liverpool, making 175 appearances and winning two First Division titles and an FA Cup, before later playing for Everton, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers.
