Santa’s House on Pilgrim Street Brings Victorian Christmas Magic to Newcastle

Alderman Fenwick’s House, one of Newcastle’s most historic buildings, will open its grand Georgian doors to welcome families into a magical festive world as it transforms into Santa’s House on Pilgrim Street.
Upon arrival, children and their grown-ups will be greeted at the front door by Mrs Claus or one of Santa’s cheerful elves, before being guided up the sweeping staircase to the magnificent Great Room on the first floor.
Here, in a beautifully decorated Victorian-style grotto filled with twinkling lights, festive garlands, and the warm scent of Christmas, children will eagerly await Santa’s arrival. When Father Christmas enters and takes his place on his huge red throne chair, little ones will be invited to gather at his feet for a magical story time, while parents watch from the sides and capture the moment on camera.
After the story, each child will receive a special gift from Santa, with plenty of opportunities for photos to make the memory last a lifetime. And for those who have their Christmas lists ready, Santa’s iconic red postbox will be by the fireplace, ready to collect every wish.
