Join Royal Baker Fiona Cairns In Collaboration With Nyetimber For A Special Afternoon Tea At Fenwick Newcastle

Renowned royal baker Fiona Cairns, who created the wedding cake for the Prince and Princess of Wales, is partnering with Fred’s Restaurant at Fenwick Newcastle and English sparkling wine producer Nyetimber, to host a special afternoon tea celebrating three British brands during national Afternoon Tea Week (11-17th August).
The event on Friday 15th August is inspired by some of Fiona’s favourite cakes which will be served in a new limited edition afternoon tea at Fred’s and will see the famous cakemaker talking about how her business grew from creating cakes in baked bean tins for friends to baking for royalty.
Served with a glass of Nyetimber’s English sparkling wine, the afternoon tea will feature Fiona Cairn’s classic cakes Raspberry & Rose Victoria Sandwich, Lemon & Elderflower Mini Loaf, Chocolate & Cherry Mini Loaf and her signature Fondant Fancy. Each is carefully handcrafted by Fiona’s dedicated bakery team using only the finest ingredients.

The Fiona Cairns’ Afternoon Tea menu will be available at Fred’s Restaurant at Fenwick Newcastle from the 11th-24th August. The selected cakes will also be available to buy in the brand’s distinctive pink boxes in Fenwick’s food hall.
