Roll the Dice. Bob Pays the Price
Newcastle restaurant Sachins celebrates 43 years with a chance to win £43 off your bill
Newcastle upon Tyne, 2 November 2026 — Newcastle's much-loved Punjabi restaurant, Sachins, is continuing its 43rd birthday celebrations with a playful new promotion that gives diners the chance to win £43 off their bill.
Running from Monday 2 November to Sunday 15 November, Roll the Dice. Bob Pays the Price. invites customers to put their luck to the test, and potentially leave owner Bob Arora picking up part of the tab.
The rules are simple:
● Spend a minimum of £43 on your table's bill.
● Nominate one person from your table to roll two dice.
● Get a 4 and a 3, in either order, on any of your three rolls.
● Win £43 off your bill.
It's a fitting celebration for a restaurant that has been part of Newcastle's dining scene since 1983. Bob Arora, who took over Sachins in 2000, has become a familiar face to customers alongside the restaurant's larger-than-life waiter, Singhsational. The pair are bringing their trademark humour to the campaign, with one clear message: roll the dice, and Bob pays the price.
Bob Arora, owner of Sachins, said:
“We've been celebrating 43 years of Sachins, and we wanted to do something a bit different for our customers. They've supported this restaurant for generations, so we thought we'd give them the chance to take £43 off their bill.
“I'm just hoping nobody gets too lucky!”
Located on Forth Banks, Sachins has been serving Punjabi food to Newcastle for more than four decades, becoming a familiar part of the city's restaurant scene.
The two-week promotion is another way for the restaurant to celebrate its history while welcoming a new generation of diners.
