In the Park Newcastle presents Paul Weller
Following a hugely successful debut at its new home this year, In the Park Newcastle returns to Exhibition Park next summer, ready to deliver it’s biggest and most memorable edition yet. Leading the charge for 2026 is the first announced headliner – the legendary Paul Weller, who will take to the stage on Friday 10th July.
Over the course of a career that stretches back five decades, Paul Weller’s songs are woven into the very fabric of British music. His body of work stands shoulder to shoulder with formative heroes such as John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ray Davies, a canon that takes in an astonishing 28 studio albums and has earned him multiple Brit Awards, Ivor Novellos and eight Number One records.
From his era-defining beginnings with The Jam - whose explosive 1977 debut In The City became a cornerstone of the punk era, to the soulful sophistication of The Style Council and his acclaimed solo masterpieces Wild Wood and Stanley Road, Weller’s music has continually evolved while retaining its unmistakable modernist spirit. Recent records like On Sunset and 66 (2024) reaffirm his relentless creative energy and refusal to stand still.
Renowned for his electrifying live performances and forward-looking approach to songwriting, Weller remains an artist in constant motion, a musician who views his past achievements only as a rear-view mirror glance before accelerating into the next chapter. His headline set at In the Park Newcastle will showcase his ever-evolving sound, bringing together fans old and new for an unforgettable night of music, energy and spirit.
In the Park Newcastle 2026 is set to once again cement its place as one of the UK’s premier live music events, bringing world-class talent to the heart of Newcastle for a truly landmark summer moment. More acts to be announced.
