Raise a Glass: Newcastle Wine Week Set to Make Its Sparkling Debut This Summer

Wine lovers, rejoice! The much anticipated Newcastle Wine Week is making its grand debut from 20th to 29th June 2025, offering an unmissable opportunity to explore the city’s vibrant wine scene at an unbeatable price.  This is a city-wide celebration of wine, collaborating with some of the best venues across the city.

Hosted by Leah Newman of Newcastle-based wine retail and events company “Whispering Wine” and supported by David Harker of Newcastle Wine school, you are in expert hands.

For the very first time, wine enthusiasts will be able to purchase a Newcastle Wine Week wristband via the official website www.newcastlewineweek.co.uk giving them 50% off a handpicked selection of wines at some of Newcastle’s finest venues.

Celebrated restaurants, including House of Tides, St. Vincent, The French Quarter, Blackfriars and Dobson & Parnell are just a few of the many participants joining the celebration. Each venue has collaborated with Leah, an expert in wine, to create a bespoke Newcastle Wine Week List, an expertly curated menu of exceptional wines that reflect the venue’s character and commitment to quality.

“This is about making great wine more accessible and celebrating the brilliant hospitality scene we have here in Newcastle,” said Leah. “We want to shine a light on the diversity of wine culture in Newcastle whilst highlighting the positive progression of current wine offerings in the city. The wristband allows people to explore new tastes and old favourites at a fraction of the cost.”

With a wide array of venues and varietals to enjoy, Newcastle Wine Week promises to be a toast-worthy addition to the city’s cultural calendar.

Wristbands are available now at www.newcastlewineweek.co.uk where you can also explore the participating venues.
