New exhibition Dino Jaws roars into Life!

Spring Bank Holiday weekend brings Dino Jaws the Life Science Centre's blockbuster new exhibition for 2017 to the public on Saturday 27th May!

The exhibition, which is heading to Newcastle from the Natural History Museum in London, features amazing dinosaur models, including lifelike animatronic heads, intriguing fossil evidence and hands-on exhibits that reveal the secrets of the dinosaurs’ diets.

The exhibition also explores the different strategies dinosaurs used to catch their prey, while the models give a detailed view of how they used their teeth and jaws to tear, grind and chew food.

“Dinosaurs have always been a firm favourite at Life, so we are thrilled to be welcoming them back!” said Linda Conlon, Chief Executive of the Centre for Life, where Life Science Centre is based. “There’s something about dinosaurs that people find fascinating, and we’re sure that Dino Jaws will be a big hit with visitors of all ages – not just the kids.”

Brave visitors to Dino Jaws can look the terrifying T. rex in the eye and stand face-to-face with a velociraptor.

As well as marvelling at the dinosaur models, visitors to Dino Jaws can also dig for virtual fossil evidence – and explore dinosaur poo!

Access to the Dino Jaws exhibition is included in the admission price to Life Science Centre. For more info please see life.org.uk.
