Neopolitan Pizza Street Food Truck based in Newcastle Upon Tyne

Scream for Pizza is an Independent, creative business founded by Newcastle locals, Victoria Featherby and Alex Walker, a production manager and former singer/entertainer who decided to set up the business whilst working on a cruise ship back in 2010.
Four years on and they finally found themselves in a position to realize their pizza making dreams. The pair headed to Naples to train as pizza chefs at the renowned La Notizia, 1 of 3 pizzerias in the world to have a Michelin fork. They then returned home to the North East and bought a 1978 former French army ambulance which they converted into a catering unit, complete with traditional Italian pizza oven.
As well as creating a premium product made (of course!) from locally sourced products (we believe the North East has some of the best artisans in the country!) Scream for Pizza’s principle objective is to uplift public spaces, creating a vibrant, engaging atmosphere that encourages community interaction through live music, entertainment and pizza making classes for children. The popularity and positive response to the street food revolution in other parts of the UK; London, Manchester, Bristol and Leeds has rocketed over the past few years. Why should the Newcastle/Gateshead be left out of this ever growing popular scene?
Scream for Pizza’s aim is to reinvent the street food and street trading scene in NewcastleGateshead. We will be found all around the City, but will always be at the Bigg Market every Tuesday and Thursday, and at the Sunday Quayside Market where we hope to change the perceptions of street trading, and show how creative and innovative street traders can regenerate and lift a local landscape.
