NE1 is Recruiting an Office Manager (Maternity Cover)

Newcastle NE1, the international award-winning Business Improvement District Company, has earned an unparalleled reputation for delivering an exciting and innovative range of projects and events, which continue to have a transformational impact on Newcastle city centre.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, highly organised and self-starting individual, who is passionate about Newcastle and able to see the potential offered by this position. The role will afford exciting involvement across the Company’s programme, working with a pro-active, engaging and dedicated team. The successful candidate will need to be a quick learner, have excellent IT skills, be able to prioritise their workload and complete work to tight deadlines. The ability to use initiative, have great attention to detail and work independently will be essential.

Duties include:

  • Implementing and maintaining office administrative systems and procedures.
  • Updating and managing NE1’s bespoke CRM system, including data management & analysis.
  • Assisting with the management of NE1’s experiential marketing sites.
  • Setting up and organising induction programmes for new employees.
  • Supporting the team in handling their day-to-day issues and maintaining strong relationships with the company’s business members.
  • Event administration, and delivery assistance, to support our NE1 Can programme and other events as required.
  • Handling all enquiries coming into the company by phone and email.
  • Offering administrative support to the Executive Team.
  • Managing contracts for office equipment and stationery.
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance for the office.
  • Ensuring GDPR policies and procedures are kept up to date.
  • Organising company meetings, events and travel arrangements.
  • Helping to manage the company’s IT systems.
  • Organising Board meetings and taking minutes.
  • Assisting the organisation's HR and finance functions as required by the Head of Finance.
