“More, More, More!” chances to win Joe Lycett tickets and a 3 course meal!

Exciting news comes as Tyne Theatre and Opera House announce a second fundraising prize draw, giving entrants the chance to win four tickets to see Joe Lycett’s brand new show "More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett?" on Friday 6th May 2022, plus a pre-show three course meal for four at Blackfriars Restaurant.

Tyne Theatre & Opera House is a charity; as a non-profit organisation, the survival of the iconic, historical venue depends upon the support and the generosity of the local community.

One of the best-loved performers in the UK, Joe Lycett is a stand-up star. An Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee and a Chortle Award winner, Joe’s profile has risen rapidly since making his stage debut at the Manchester Comedy Store in 2008. Joe performed his hotly anticipated debut hour Some Lycett Hot at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show was a huge hit with critics and audiences alike, selling out its entire run and securing Joe a Foster’s Comedy Award Best Newcomer nomination. He returned to the Fringe with his 2013 hit, If Joe Lycett Then You Should’ve Put A Ring On It.

The critically acclaimed That’s The Way, A-Ha, A-Ha, Joe Lycett came to Tyne Theatre & Opera House in 2016, followed by a return to the venue in 2018 with I’m About To Lose Control and I Think Joe Lycett. After his show in Newcastle, Joe recorded this very special message of support: https://tynetheatreandoperahouse.uk/joe-lycett/

This Spring, Joe Lycett is back with two sold-out dates at the Theatre for his latest show More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett? on Friday 6th & Saturday 7th May 2022.

With its origins dating back to 1239, Blackfriars confidently lays claim to being the oldest dining room in the UK. Blackfriars have won many awards including Taste of the North East, and is now one of the most recognised and reputable restaurants in Newcastle. Blackfriars serve a gutsy traditional-British menu using local seasonal ingredients, often straight from the local farms and markets.

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson said “Following the huge success of our first Crowdfunder prize draw, we’re really excited to offer audiences yet another chance to win with tickets to one of Newcastle’s most in demand comedy events this Spring. We’re delighted to be teaming up with Blackfriars Restaurant for this prize draw and are grateful for their very generous contribution. We love working with local businesses so to be able to offer this fantastic prize of a three-course meal with a glass of fizz at Blackfriars - one of the finest dining rooms in the UK - is a real pleasure.”
