Football fever is set to grip Tyneside once again as NX Newcastle prepares to welcome hundreds of England fans for a huge World Cup Quarter Final Fanzone this Saturday.
Following England's dramatic last-16 victory over Mexico and Norway's shock win over five-time world champions Brazil, the Three Lions will now face the Scandinavians for a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals.
To mark one of England's biggest matches of the tournament so far, NX is once again transforming into the city's home of the World Cup, with organisers promising a full evening of entertainment, giant screens, live DJs and an electric knockout atmosphere.
Supporters heading to the venue can expect World Cup DJs, massive England flag displays, crowd interaction, pre-match entertainment and one of the biggest indoor football screenings in Newcastle, all backed by a huge sound system designed to recreate the atmosphere of a major tournament night.
Organisers have also revealed that very special guests will be announced in the coming days, adding another exciting dimension to what is already shaping up to be one of the city's biggest football events of the summer.
The World Cup Quarter Final Fanzone takes place on Saturday 11 July, with doors opening at 7.30pm ahead of the 10pm kick-off. Last entry is 9pm.
Luke Rushfirth, NX Newcastle venue manager, said:
"England are into the last eight and the excitement is really building. Every knockout game feels bigger than the last and we can't wait to welcome supporters back for another huge night.
"We've got plenty planned before kick-off and we're especially excited to reveal some very special guests over the coming days. Alongside the DJs, entertainment and incredible atmosphere, we're determined to make this a World Cup night to remember.
"If you can't make it to Miami, there's nowhere better to watch the match than surrounded by fellow England fans in the heart of Newcastle."
Following the success of previous NX football events, including its hugely popular World Cup screenings and recent football fanzones, organisers are expecting another packed house as supporters come together to cheer England into the semi-finals.
The event promises all the ingredients of a memorable tournament night, with giant screens, tournament anthems, immersive production and an atmosphere that builds from the moment doors open until the final whistle.
