Millennium Bridge Lights Up for Miss Saigon at Newcastle Theatre Royal

Newcastle’s Millennium Bridge was illuminated in spectacular sunset shades last night (Thu 4 Sep) to celebrate one of the greatest musicals of all time, Miss Saigon, which opens a major new UK tour at Newcastle Theatre Royal in just one month (Sat 4 - Sat 25 Oct 2025).

Michael Harrison in association with Cameron Mackintosh presents Miss Saigon which tells an unforgettable love story set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War. With its soaring score and epic storytelling, Miss Saigon has become a global phenomenon, captivating audiences in theatres around the world.

The lighting of the Millennium Bridge also marked the launch of Newcastle Theatre Royal’s brand-new season and brochure today, which features an exciting line-up of world-class entertainment.
