Metro Radio’s Stuart Elmore tunes into The North East Wedding Show

Metro Radio’s Stuart Elmore will be presenting his own wedding plans at the North East’s biggest show for brides in Newcastle next weekend. Stuart, who proposed to his producer Louise last Christmas will be appearing at The North East Wedding Show at the Metro Radio Arena from January 25-26. The show will give brides-to-be the opportunity to meet hundreds of wedding experts from across the region as well as to enjoy regular fashion shows and pick up top tips from The Experts’ Theatre.  Visitors will also receive exclusive offers and discounts from exhibitors and the chance to win a dream wedding at Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa. Stuart, who hails from Northamptonshire and presents the Homerun on Metro Radio, met his fiancée Louise Bennison from Whickham at work and proposed to her about a year later on Christmas day. He said “When I popped the question to Lou there was quite a delayed response which she blamed on the shock.  I had to swap knees before I received an answer!” Stuart and Louise will be sharing their ideas for their big day at the Wedding Show’s Experts’ Theatre at 2pm on Sunday 26 and will be interviewed by the UK’s top bridal coach Michele Paradise, who will offer advice on how to look and feel amazing on the big day.  There will also be talks from photographer Phil Ryott and dress designer Kathryn Russell as well as entertainment by Grooveline, a leading North East wedding band. Every bride that goes along to the show will also have the chance of winning their wedding at Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa in Northumberland and Stuart will draw the winning name at 4pm on Sunday. The prize will include an arrival drink and three course wedding breakfast with wine for 60 people, a glass of fizz for the toast and an evening buffet for 80 people worth more than £4,500.  Other prizes will also include a bouquet from designer Kathryn Russell and wedding make-up and hair from Danielle Jones Professional Hair. BBC TV weather presenter Hannah Bayman will also be appearing on stage with her fiancé Charlie Tahir to discuss their forthcoming wedding plans on Saturday January 25. Bev Howard, event manager at the Ocean Media Group, said: “The North East Wedding Show is going to be the biggest and best yet and will be an unmissable day out for couples wanting to pick up inspiration for their big day with hundreds of local experts on hand to talk to.  The first 500 brides-to-be through the doors on the first day will also be offered a free glass of fizz.” Local exhibitors will include Snaparazzi, Alnwick Garden, Kelly Ann's Cakes, Exclusive Yacht Weddings, Alan Gibson Photography, the Entertainment Directors, One Digital Image, WF Executive, Rings by Designs, atelier de fleurs, and Slaley Hall. The event will also feature award-winning catwalk shows where couples can see the latest bridal wear, occasion wear, grooms wear and mother of the bride dresses from companies including Accent Original Bridal, Jules B, Slaters, Kate Fearnley and Kathryn Russell. The catwalk shows will take place at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm every day. The show will take place from 10am-5pm on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January.  All visitors will receive a free goody bag and a free show guide which includes all the contact details of all participating exhibitors. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and there is plenty of parking at the Metro Radio Arena.  Advanced tickets to the show are priced at £7 and must be booked by midnight on January 24, 2014 or tickets on the door cost £9.  The event is free for children under 16.  For more information and to book tickets visit www.theukweddingshows.co.uk For more information about the show and Stuart’s wedding plans listen to Metro Radio from 20 January.
