MAGICAL FAIRYTALE ON ICE MAKES EASTER TREAT AT THEATRE ROYAL

Acclaimed ice dance troupe The  Russian Ice Stars are bringing their  mesmerising new acrobatic ice-ballet Cinderella to the Theatre Royal this Spring, providing a magical Easter treat for all the family, Wed 3 – Sat 6 April. World renowned, the Russian Ice Stars troupe comprises 21 talented ice-dancers skilled in mesmerizing aerial acrobatics.  For one week only a real ice rink will be built on the stage of the Theatre Royal as an arena for their breathtaking new show, Cinderella on Ice, a beautiful reinterpretation of the most famous fairytale of all time. The show whisks audiences off to an enchanting land far away where beautiful heart-sore Cinderella is whiling away her days working hard in her poor family’s tavern.  One night she receives a magical visitation, and we accompany her as she glides into a world of glittering palaces and snowy forests, kings, queens, courtiers and a heart-stopping waltz at midnight… Featuring jaw-dropping ice-ballet and aerial feats from some of the world’s finest ice dancers, a stirring classical score, richly colourful costumes and spectacular sets, the traditional tale unfolds in a lavish two hour spectacle that will entrance all ages. Cinderella on Ice is produced by Wild Rose, the company behind Peter Pan on Ice, Snow White on Ice and Cirque de Glace.
