Luxury venue prize is the icing on the cake at wedding show
A top venue in Northumberland is teaming up with The North East Wedding Show to offer a dream wedding worth £4,500.
Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa, which will be exhibiting at the show on January 25-26 at Metro Radio Arena, will be giving one lucky couple the chance to win an arrival drink and three course wedding breakfast with wine for 60 people as well as a glass of fizz for the toast and an evening buffet for 80 people.
Every attendee at the show will have the chance of winning the competition, and Stuart Elmore, the Homerun presenter at Metro Radio will draw the winning name at 4pm on Sunday, January 26.
Mark Booth, general manager from Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa said: “We’re really looking forward to seeing who will win the prize. As one of the very few select hotels in the UK to be awarded the prestigious four AA Red Stars, we can’t wait to meet brides-to-be at the show and to start planning a dream wedding day for our lucky winning couple.”
Stuart Elmore and his fiancée, producer Louise Bennison from Whickham, who he proposed to last Christmas, will also be sharing their ideas for their big day at The Wedding Show’s Experts’ Theatre at 1.10pm on Sunday, January 26. They will be interviewed by the UK’s top bridal coach Michele Paradise who will offer advice on how to look and feel amazing on the big day.
Bev Howard, event manager at the Ocean Media Group, said: “We’re delighted that Doxford Hall Hotel and Spa has provided this hugely enviable competition prize. The draw will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of show, which is going to be the biggest and best yet. It promises to be an unmissable day out for couples wanting to pick up inspiration for their big day with hundreds of local experts on hand to talk to.”
The show will enable brides-to-be the opportunity to meet hundreds of wedding experts from across the region as well as to enjoy regular fashion shows and pick up top tips from The Experts’ Theatre. Visitors will also receive exclusive offers and discounts from exhibitors, and the first 500 brides-to-be through the doors on the first day will be offered a free glass of fizz.
BBC TV weather presenter Hannah Bayman will be appearing in the Experts’ Theatre at 1.10pm on Saturday January 25 to forecast her own wedding plans.
The event will also feature award-winning catwalk shows where couples can see the latest bridal wear, occasion wear, grooms wear and mother of the bride dresses from companies including Accent Original Bridal, Jules B, Slaters and Kate Fearnley. The catwalk shows will take place at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm every day.
The show runs from 10am-5pm on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January. Advanced tickets to the show are priced at £7 and must be booked by midnight on January 24, 2014 or tickets on the door cost £9.
