Last Chance to Book: Final Weeks at the Golden Flake Tavern
Time is nearly up at The Golden Flake Tavern, with the last orders set to be poured on Friday 13 March 2026.
After months of packed-out quiz nights, live music, Sunday carveries (with a Greggs twist, of course) and more Pink Jammie Pale Ales than we can count, Greggs and Fenwick have confirmed that The Golden Flake Tavern will close its doors for good this March.
Set within the flagship Fenwick Newcastle store, overlooking Grey’s Monument, Greggs’ first-ever pub has been serving up a reimagined British pub experience since last September, and now there are just a few weeks left to experience it.
From chicken bake parmos and sausage roll with mash, to Pink Jammie Trifle and a twist on the traditional Sunday carvery, the menu, curated by Fenwick Executive Head Chef Mark Reid, has brought fifteen Greggs-inspired classics to life.
Behind the bar, two exclusive beers brewed in collaboration with local brewery Full Circle Co. The Pink Jammie Pale Ale and Gosforth 1939 Stottie Lager have become firm favourites, alongside the Greggs-inspired cocktail list.
With one final run of live music and weekly quiz nights still to come, this is the last chance to grab a table, raise a glass and experience The Golden Flake Tavern before it closes.
Bookings are now open - but not for long, link below:
