int Eldon Square search for the North East Teacher of the Year 2015

To celebrate the approaching summer holidays, intu Eldon Square are searching for the North East Teacher of the Year 2015. The campaign seeks to say a well-deserved thank you to the region’s teachers. The search, which kicked off on Monday 22 June 2015, will ask parents, teachers and students from across the region to nominate their favourite teacher via social media. The winning teacher will be crowned North East Teacher of the Year 2015 and will be rewarded with an all-expenses paid pamper day in the form of a £300 intu Gift Card. The runner up will also receive an intu Gift Card worth £50. Regional marketing manager, Karen Carr said “our gift cards are a really popular thank you gift so we thought launching North East Teacher of the Year 2015 would be a perfect way to join local students and parents in saying thank you to our special teachers. “The intu Gift Card can be used in both the North East shopping centres; across hundreds of retailers, restaurants and leisure facilities and are the perfect present for any hard working teacher.” intu Eldon Square will launch the competition on their Twitter and Facebook channels asking their fans to nominate a teacher either by commenting on the relevant Facebook post or tweeting to the hashtag #intuBestTeacher - along with the name of the teacher and school. In the last week of term, (w/c Monday 13 July 2015) intu Eldon Square will  select a top teacher from all the entries on social media to go head to head in the final week on Twitter. The teacher chosen who receives the most retweets across the final week will win. “I think it’s really important to say thank you to all the teachers who work hard all year round and may be they could win a competition just like me!” Look out for the launch on intu Eldon Square’s Facebook and Twitter channels and visit the websites for more details.
