In the Night Garden Live returns to Tyne Theatre and Opera House

In the Night Garden Live, now in its 11th year, returns to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd June 2020 following its hugely successful run at the theatre in July of this year.

Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, MakkaPakka and friends are back in their fun-filled live show Igglepiggle’s Busy Day! In this family favourite, you’re invited to join Igglepiggle as he looks for his friends in the Night Garden by following their funny sounds until he finds them all!

All your favourite characters will be beautifully brought to life with full-size costumes, magical puppets, and enchanting music in this completely new live stage show. A very special visit from The Amazing Flying Pinky Ponk will be sure to amaze the little ones!

In the Night Garden Live is one of the UK’s favourite family events, so you’re encouraged to buy tickets early to avoid disappointment. Over 1 million people have seen it so far and it gets 4.8 out of 5 stars based on 13,490 parents’ reviews.

“There’s nothing quite like In the Night Garden Live.” - The Independent

“The hottest ticket in town!” – The Mirror

“It’s hard to imagine a show more likely to engage little ones and give them a sense of the magic of theatre.” – The Guardian

In the Night Garden Live is the latest addition to an exciting programme of magical children’s shows coming to Tyne Theatre & Opera House, including the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler adaptations Tabby McTat (October 2019) and Room on the Broom (June 2020), as well as The Sooty Show (Feb 2020).

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson says: “I’m overjoyed to welcome back In the Night Garden Live in 2020. Tickets for our In the Night Garden Live shows this year flew out  - we even had to add more due to huge demand - so even though July might seem a while away, I highly recommend advance booking. This is one of those shows where it really is delightful to see children enjoying the magic of live theatre – and parents love it too!”

In the Night Garden Live is showing at 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm on both the 15th and 16th of July, with the show lasting just under 1 hour.

Tickets are priced: £13 - £19.50 (All children 6 months + must have a ticket)
