Great North Run Giving Away a Free Entry for Every Newcastle Goal Scored in Tonight’s Semi Final

To celebrate Newcastle United’s amazing run to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, the AJ Bell Great North Run is giving away one free entry into the iconic half marathon for every goal scored against Southampton in tonight’s match at St Mary’s. 

Brendan Foster, founder of the Great North Run said, “Cup semi-finals and dare we say it, finals, have been quite rare in the North East.

“I’ve been a been a die-hard Magpies fan all my life, so like most of the city I’m really looking forward to tonight’s match.”

“To celebrate, we’re giving away a free AJ Bell Great North Run entry for every goal scored by Newcastle. The more they score the more we’ll give away.

Anyone who enters the AJ Bell Great North Run ballot before kick-off at 8pm tonight will be in the draw for a free entry, depending on the result. There will be another chance to get involved when the second leg is played at St James’ next week, Tuesday 31st January.  

The AJ Bell Great North Run will be back on the streets of the North East on Sunday 10 September. With 60,000 entrants, the event continues to be the biggest running event in the country. Many will be taking part to support good causes, raising an estimated £25 million pounds for charity. This year marks the start of a five-year partnership with new Title Partner, AJ Bell.
