From Las Vegas to Grease: Purple Peacock Brings the Glitz and Glamour of Vegas and Movie Musicals to the Toon, as It Announces Three New Show Nights
The iconic show-bar Purple Peacock in Newcastle has announced the launch of three new show nights that will bring the glitz and glamour of Vegas and Movie Musicals to the toon this February.
Announcing three new shows: Time of Our Lives, Viva Las Peacock and We Like to Party will deliver awe-inspiring entertainment at Newcastle’s one and only show-bar, for lively, fun and atmospheric evenings that are one-of-a-kind in the city.
Time of Our Lives: This show is automatic, it’s systematic, it’s hydromatic… why it’s greased lightenin’! Paying homage to the best movie musical numbers of all time, ‘Time of Our Lives’ is the ultimate sing-along evening of non-stop nostalgia that will transport you to the sets of Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Dirty Dancing and beyond, with all the memorable classics performed by Purple Peacock’s talented resident singers and dancers – including Britain’s Got Talent winner, Matt Pagan.
Time Of Our Lives launches on Friday 27th January, with spectacular shows every Friday of the month in 2023.
Viva Las Peacock: Sin City is officially landing in the toon! This must-see show night packs all the glitz and glam of the bright lights of Vegas into one incredible party that promises to have you dancing the night away to endless hits from the greatest artists including Elvis Presley, Cher, Celine Dion, Elton John, Britney Spears and more.
Viva Las Peacock launches on Saturday 28th January, with shows every Saturday of the month in 2023.
We Like to Party: If you are a 90’s baby, then you’re guaranteed to love this incredible show which throws it back to the decade that will never die with an unforgettable night of timeless 90’s tunes. A celebration of all things nineties, ‘We Like to Party’ boasts the best throwback anthems by icons from the best decade in music, with the likes of the Spice Girls, NSYNC JLo, Green Day and many more amazing artists that entertain like no other.
We Like to Party launches on Thursday 2nd February, with shows every first Thursday of the month in 2023.
The venue which also holds weekly themed bottomless ‘drunches’ every Saturday and has some unmissable themes in the coming weeks including; a ‘Single Ladies’ Valentines special, nineties vs naughties spectacular, Clubland & ‘No Scrubs’ 80’s & 90’s throwback.

Saturday:
Drunch: 12pm – 6pm
Show Night: Doors open 7:30pm
Ticket types range from a standalone ticket by the main stage or bar, to 3-course meals, depending on what you fancy - bar seats, booths and private dining areas are also available each week.
Purple Peacock has become the venue for an unforgettable night out, where guests can expect to be entertained by unique performances while indulging in delicious small plates every Friday and Saturday night.
