Free theatre performances at intu Eldon Square as part of Juice Festival

Children and young people headed to intu Eldon Square this October half term can enjoy a free theatre performance as part of this year’s Juice Festival, www.juicefestival.co.uk. Boy Meets Girl, a brand new show by Zest Theatre, invites passers-by to follow the story of two young people in their search for love. Using silent disco technology, shoppers can listen to the thoughts of the Boy and the Girl as they go through the joy, hope and heartbreak of finding ‘the one’. A mix of dance and theatre, performances of Boy Meets Girl will take place throughout intu Eldon Square on Friday 30 October between 14:00-19:00. Chris Batstone, artistic director of Juice Festival said: “The theme for this year’s festival is Seen and Heard so we wanted to bring performances out of venues and into everyday spaces. “Boy Meets Girl is specially designed for this so it should be a really fun experience for people to watch. Putting on the headphones lets you hear the thoughts of the performers and really be part of the show.” For young people interested in being part of the performance itself, a small number of spaces are still available for the Boy Meets Girl workshops, which give young people the chance to join the cast and take part in the live shows.
