Fashion Show to help raise money to fund Teenage Cancer Trust wards within the North East.

On 11th March, a local fashion designer will be getting involved in an event to create a fashion show fundraiser in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. JPStyle is a local designer, retailing clothing online, for both men and women. We also have Clothing from Chique Unique and Footwear from Solique. These local North East designers have kindly donated their time free of charge in order to help this fantastic cause. The catwalk show will be held at Nancy’s Bordello. The venue is a beautiful, vintage setting perfect for presenting  this wonderful array of clothing. Nancy’s Bordello has a bar, and rooftop terrace; all of which can be enjoyed at the event. The event will start at 7.30pm and cost only £5; tickets can be purchased from: https://www.justgiving.com/TeenageCancerTrustFashionShowNE. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients. The charity asked supporters to use their imagination and organise a fundraising event to raise funds for the seven young people aged between 13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer every day. Traditionally treated alongside children or elderly patients at the end of their lives, young people can feel extremely isolated during treatment, some never meeting another young person with cancer. Being treated alongside others their own age can make a huge difference to their whole experience. Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist units within NHS hospitals bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them.  We want every young person with cancer to have access to this specialist support, no matter where they live. With two existing units at Newcastle’s Freeman and RVI hospitals, Teenage Cancer Trust has continued to thrive in the North East. But by using innovative and new fundraising events, we can continue to fund the amazing specialist nurses, equipment and activities that help these teenagers get through such a challenging time. Those attending the event will all be provided with a goody bag with lots of exciting treats, including gifts from Body Shop and Marks and Spencers. There will be a raffle with some great prizes. We will also have a design your own Teenage Cancer Trust t-shirt stall, which will give the guests a chance to draw and stick whatever they want on to their t-shirts. Clothing for the catwalk will also be on sale at the event, and feature as a raffle prize. We will be taking to the streets of Newcastle to do a street style feature on local fashions in Newcastle, and hopefully encourage those with an interest in fashion to attend the event.  We will be armed with vouchers for discount at the event so keep your eyes open in the upcoming weeks.
