Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, Angel Olsen, to bring tour to Newcastle

American indie folk musician and singer-songwriter, Angel Olsen, will be performing music from her new album, All Mirrors, live at Tyne Theatre & Opera House on Monday 31st August 2020.

After the success of her debut EP released in 2011, Olsen went on to sign with record label Jagjaguwar (Ladyhawke, Black Mountain and Bon Iver) and in 2014 she released her first album with them, Burn Your Fire for No Witness. The closing track, ‘Windows’, featured in the final episode of hit Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why.

Her new album, All Mirrors, released on 4th October 2019 is Olsen’s fourth studio album and places at number 28 in the UK Albums Chart. In this vulnerable, Big Mood new album, Angel Olsen takes an introspective deep dive towards internal destinations and revelations.

In the process of making All Mirrors, Olsen found a new sound and voice, a blast of fury mixed with hard won self-acceptance. Pitchfork's Laura Snapes described the album as "breathtaking," while The Guardian 's Alexis Petridis described it as "challenging and intriguing" and Happy Mag's Luke Saunders described it as a change of "theatric transcendency" when compared to her previous releases.

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson said “We’re delighted to welcome American artist Angel Olsen onto our stage for the first time. She’s incredibly talented and her music really resonates with her fans, old and new, who won’t want to miss the chance to see Olsen perform live.”

Tickets are priced: £22.50
