COUNTDOWN TO SPECTACULAR NEWCASTLE FUNDRAISER
FASHION MATCH 2013
The countdown is underway for Fashion Match 2013 – a celebrity packed fundraiser – set to be the largest charity event Newcastle and possibly the North East has ever seen.
Music, screen and sports stars will come together at the glitzy event to be held at Newcastle Falcons, Kingston Park, on Friday March 22.
Most tables have sold out already and at least £180,000 has been raised for the three chosen charities – Marie Curie and The Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF), both in Newcastle, along with Chefs Adopt a School Charity.
Around 650 guests will be entertained by comedian and host Bobby Davro with music from former Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley and his 12-piece band. Players past and present at Newcastle United, Newcastle Falcons and Durham County Cricket Club will be strutting their stuff down a catwalk, modelling clothes from Newcastle’s luxury fashion retailer Cruise.
The food is also being given the celebrity treatment with a nationally renowned line-up led by Terry Laybourne of 21 Hospitality Group and also featuring Bob Aurora of Sachins, Brian James of Fenwick Newcastle along with Simon Walsh of Close House and Kenny Atkinson of Rockliffe Hall.
The event has been planned and led by leading businessmen Graham Wylie, owner of Close House Hotel and TSG, along with Ian Watson, chairman of Hadrian Healthcare.
There will be a number of spectacular auction prizes at the event, including the chance to win overseas holidays and a Porsche Boxter, along with other surprises on the night.
