Celebrate New Year’s Eve in style at Sage Gateshead

Sage Gateshead will end 2013 on a high with a choice of two fantastic concerts and a late night party on the Concourse for a New Year’s Eve with a difference. Party-goers can kick off 2014 in style and choose from British musical institutions The Brand New Heavies (Tuesday December 31, Hall One, 9pm) and their jazz, funk and soul classics including ‘Dream on Dreamer’ and ‘Midnight at the Oasis’, or unique entertainers the New Rope String Band (Tuesday December 31, Hall Two, 9pm) with a hilarious mix of jolly tunes, interactive film-fun and Python-esque slapstick. The good times don’t end there however, as tickets for both concerts entitle revellers to join the fabulous Late Night Party on the Concourse and welcome in the New Year with live music from Nick Pride and The Pimptones plus homespun DJs (Tuesday 31 December, Concourse, 11pm-1.30am), and countdown to the spectacular Quayside midnight fireworks with dancing and a Champagne bar overlooking the River Tyne.
