Britain's Got Talent favourite MC Tazo to perform huge England World Cup fanzone at NX Newcastle
One of the North East's best-loved entertainers is set to help fire up England fans this weekend after Britain's Got Talent favourite MC Tazo was confirmed as the headline live performer for NX Newcastle's World Cup Quarter Final Fanzone.
The Geordie dance music star will perform live before kick-off as England take on surprise package Norway in one of the biggest matches of the FIFA World Cup so far, with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.
The announcement follows another dramatic week at the tournament, with England battling to a memorable victory over Mexico before Norway stunned five-time world champions Brazil to book their place in Saturday night's quarter-final showdown.
Now organisers at NX are promising their biggest World Cup event yet, transforming the city centre venue into the ultimate home of England supporters for what promises to be an unforgettable knockout occasion.
If fans can't make the journey to Miami, organisers believe there's nowhere better to experience the drama than inside NX, where hundreds of supporters will come together beneath one roof for a full World Cup matchday experience.
Expect one of the biggest indoor football screenings in Newcastle alongside World Cup DJs, massive England flag displays, crowd interaction, live entertainment, special guests and a huge pre-match build-up before Thomas Tuchel's side take to the field.
MC Tazo has become one of the region's most recognisable performers thanks to his infectious personality, feel-good dance anthems and unforgettable appearance on Britain's Got Talent, where he won over audiences across the country with his trademark Geordie humour and high-energy performance.
His appearance at NX promises to get supporters in full voice before kick-off as England look to take another step towards World Cup glory.

Doors open at 7.30pm, giving supporters plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere before the 10pm kick-off, with World Cup DJs and entertainment running throughout the evening.
Last entry is 9pm.
NX has quickly established itself as one of Newcastle's leading destinations for major sporting events, with previous football fanzones attracting packed crowds and creating an atmosphere more akin to being inside the stadium than watching from afar.
