Antler Bar set for Alpine Summer Party

Tyneside's only Alpine-themed bar is set to celebrate summer with a big party night this weekend.

Antler, at Newcastle’s 55 Degrees, is hosting its Summertime in the Alps event this Saturday, 18 August in association with Moose, a handcrafted spirit made in the Austrian Alps.

Guests can enjoy exclusive new cocktails created exclusively for the party, along with complimentary alpine nibbles for booked tables. A live DJ will be on hand from 6 pm and the first 100 guests through the door will receive an exclusive gift.

Antler became the city’s first Alpine-themed bar/restaurant when it opened its doors in June on the site formerly occupied by Fat Buddha. It serves a selection of exciting dishes such as Bratwurst and Bockwursts, classic schnitzels and goulash and a choice of stone-baked pizzas along with a children’s menu.

Gary Hutchinson, the owner of Chrysalis Leisure which owns Antler, is looking forward to the event.“As Newcastle’s only alpine-themed bar and restaurant, we like to keep things authentic and exciting and wanted to host a summer party where we can showcase some of our unique drinks and give people the chance to see what we are all about."

“We will be offering exclusive new cocktails throughout the night and those who make table bookings can enjoy complimentary nibbles. Add to this the special gifts for the first 100 people and other little surprises throughout the evening and we believe it will be the biggest and best party night in the city this summer.”

Reservations for the party are advised but not essential. To book, call 0191 261 1066. For further information about Antler, visit the website: www.antlernewcastle.co.uk
