The idea is to make something pure. It’s not going to be perfect. But it’s going to be how we, the comedians writing and acting in it, imagined it. Without advertisers, sponsors or department heads getting involved telling us what we can and can’t say because they don’t trust their audience to be smart enough to take the jokes in the way they’re intended. We like the fact that the only people that are capable of cancelling the sitcom, are the very people funding it. We have no idea if this is going to work. This could be a massive failure. But we’re all going to throw our best at it and if we pull it off, the future of film and television could suddenly be very interesting. To make M.U.F.F. we are trying to raise production funds via live nights and on Indie Go http://igg.me/at/muffproductions  for set, the crew, any kit we can’t borrow or scrounge - we writers and comedians are not being paid.  In fact we are contributing cash as well. The plan is to film in December 2014-January 2015, when the people we need are available, with the online release in 2015. Fans can contribute as much or as little as they want based on a very unfair reward scheme. Even if it’s as little as 5 or 10 pounds, everyone who contributes via Indie Go or leaves their email details at the live comedy nights gets to download all 6 episodes – for free. And they can do with those episodes what ever they god damn please. Wanna sell it your friends? Go ahead. Want to screen all episodes in a cinema and make a profit. DO IT. M.U.F.F. is not made for profit. M.U.F.F. is made for fun.
