Band Night in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust: World HQ

This Event has passed
On the eve of Halloween the Newcastle Teenage Cancer Trust Fundraising Group will be hosting a Band Night in order to raise vital funds for the great work that Teenage Cancer Trust provide to young people facing cancer. With live performances by AfterGlow, The J.T.A, Hip Hop Hooray and William Jennison, they want to pack out the house and have a great night of local live music while supporting the work of a fantastic charity. The Band night will be held at World Head Quarters, Newcastles only independent, truly underground, word of mouth, musically driven Club, on Thursday 30th October. Doors open at 7pm and will see AfterGlow headlining the night with their melodic moodiness and frantic fuzziness. Every year the Newcastle Teenage Cancer Trust fundraising group organises and hosts a variety of charity fundraising events aiming to raise £10,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust. The group is made of a range of young people, all volunteers, with their own personal reasons for joining the group and helping to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. No young person expects to be diagnosed with cancer, but Teenage Cancer Trust are there to support every young person going through this journey and to limit the impact cancer has on their life as little as possible, to allow them to be the young person they are. But in order for them to be able to do this, fundraising events like those organised by the Newcastle Teenage Cancer Trust fundraising group are vital to allow this to continue. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients. Traditionally treated alongside children or elderly patients at the end of their lives, young people can feel extremely isolated during treatment, some never meeting another young person with cancer. So Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist units within NHS hospitals bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them.  We want every young person with cancer to have access to this specialist support, no matter where they live.
