Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, audiences can catch The Playboy of the Western World at Tyneside Cinema this May and June.
Following protagonist Pegeen Flaherty and the events that follow when a young man walks into her pub claiming that he's killed his father, and then is praised as a local hero, this darkly comic production stars Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton), Éanna Hardwicke (The Sixth Commandment) and Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls).
