Worms, Monkeys and Killer Pigs: The Strange Folk Tales of County Durham: The Common Room

Discover County Durham's quirky folk tales with this talk from author and storyteller Adam Bushnell at The Common Room.

He'll be exploring some of its most interesting legends, from its famous worm tales and the dark history behind Hartlepool's monkey-hanging past to the county's alarming number of murderous pigs.

He'll also unearth how stories change as they are passed to new generations and why such tales matter today, alongside telling a story or two himself.
