ABNORM: Formed in 2021 by singer and songwriter Abbie Rose, Abnorm have quickly become one of the North East's most exciting emerging alternative rock bands. Combining thunderous riffs, raw lyricism and an unapologetically modern approach to rock music, the band have built a reputation for powerful live performances and songs that balance intensity with vulnerability.

Their latest single, Rats, sees the band at their most ambitious. Inspired by real-life frustrations and written from the perspective of the very thing people fear, the track tackles themes of dread, discomfort and confronting the things we'd rather avoid. Darkly playful and packed with attitude, it's a glimpse into a band unafraid to push their songwriting into unexpected territory.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Paramore, The Pretty Reckless, Yonaka and Nova Twins, Abnorm are part of a new wave of female-fronted rock acts reshaping the genre for a new generation.
