The meeting consists of three parts; namely, a communal meal and chat, discussion of group business and finally the circle talk.
The circle talk usually has three rounds. First round: each member 'checks in' and says how they are feeling.
Second round: each member goes into detail on how they are.
Third round: each member closes out by saying how they are feeling.
During circle talk the important thing is that the speaker gets to say everything that they wish.
Confidentiality is vital. What happens in the group, stays in the group.
It it best if others don't judge, criticise, or give advice whilst someone is sharing their feelings.
A safe environment is crucial. Verbal or physical abuse is not accepted.
