Join Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service for a free, family-friendly day on the River Tyne learning all about life-saving water safety.
From 11am to 3pm, they'll be down on the Quayside with partners RNLI, Royal Life Saving Society, Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade and Tyneside and Northumberland Mind to help raise awareness of the accidental risks of drowning ahead of the warmer, summer months.
Alongside fire cadets, stalls and the chance to see inside a real fire engine, there'll also be a live demonstration of a fireboat river rescue at 11:30am.
