Newcastle Choral Society 70th Anniversary Summer Concert: Newcastle Civic Centre

This Event has passed
The last time the choir performed Mass in Blue in 2015

Celebrate 70 years of singing in Newcastle and beyond with a very special concert from the Newcastle Choral Society this June.

To mark their 70th anniversary, the Choral Society bring you a blockbuster concert supported by the Sir James Knott Trust, plus a new commission supported by the Northumberland Freemasons.

The choir will perform acclaimed County Durham composer Will Todd's Mass in Blue, with the composer himself playing piano - a delight for lovers of both choral music and jazz.

The concert will also see the world premiere of Two Miller Settings, a newly commissioned piece from rising UK composer Kristina Arakelyan inspired by two poems by American poet Freeman Edwin Miller.

Full-price tickets cost £15 or £8 for full-time students or unwaged people, and under 18s get in for free with a paying adult.

Tickets can be booked via TicketSource or can be bought on the door (cash or card).
