Welcome in the Year of the Horse with the incredible Lunar New Year celebrations in Newcastle city centre!
Join in the spectacular parade on Sunday 22nd February, starting at Greys Monument, with performances from 10:45am. Then, at 11:30am, the parade begins and heads down Blackett Street and Gallowgate, before passing through the iconic Chinese Arch and making its way through Stowell Street.
Meanwhile, at 11:30am at the Arch, you'll be able to watch a performance by the Confucius Institute Newcastle University.
There'll also be the chance to enjoy an mesmerising performance by Edmund Ng's Choi Lee Fut Kung Fu, Lion and Dragon Club, where you'll see the superbly talented lion dance, dragon dance, martial arts and fire crackers.
Meanwhile in Bath Lane, you'll be able to explore a treasure trove of food vendors and stalls - plus there'll be fairground rides and an arts and crafts tent for the kids too.
Fantastic fun for the whole family, these celebrations are not to be missed!
