Internet of Caring Things

The Internet of Caring Things® (IoCT™) helps businesses in the North East turn new ideas into market-ready products. By bringing together expert data insight, UX guidance, rapid prototyping, and user testing through their Voice© panel, IoCT™ will help you validate or challenge your ideas to inform confident decisions and create solutions that truly meet user needs.

Businesses can access up to 12 hours of fully funded specialist support to explore ideas, test concepts, and shape innovation at an early stage. For those ready to go further, the programme also offers bespoke project collaboration with 70% subsidised rates, making advanced innovation support accessible to startups, SMEs, and growing companies across the region.

Based within Newcastle University’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA), IoCT™ is funded by the North East Combined Authority, with technical support from CPI, connecting regional businesses to expertise, facilities, and insight that accelerate innovation and growth.
