Founded in 2012 by Ali Pritchard, Alphabetti Theatre is an award-winning and artist-led performance space that plays an essential part in Newcastle's arts and culture scene.
Located on St James' Boulevard, Alphabetti boasts a main theatre space with the capacity to hold 80 people and the recently opened D'Addario stage - an 80 person music and cabaret space within its bar.
The theatre offers culture vultures a varied programme of events - from cutting-edge plays to gigs and talks - and provides a number of opportunities for both emerging and established writers, directors and performers.
With an ethos to make great art and theatre accessible to all, Alphabetti offers a Pay What You Feel ticketing scheme that enables guests to enjoy their events regardless of financial situation alongside regular captioned, audio-described and relaxed performances.
Opening hours
Alphabetti Theatre opens half an hour before an event starts. If they have multiple events over the day or evening, they will stay open between events.
